Event Description

In the aftermath of the recent earthquake, theatre artists and humanities scholars gather at the Segal Center to discuss, showcase and experience contemporary Haitian theatre, while summoning solidarity and support for contemporary Haitian playwrights. Featuring Haitian plays in translation and appearances by Haitian playwrights of multiple generations. Co-presented with the Henri Peyre French Institute and the Ph.D. Program in French of the Graduate Center, CUNY.

Complimentary Haitian beer and hors d'oeuvres provided by La Comedie Francaise New York. La Comedie Francaise New York is dedicated to promoting contemporary Francophone theater through theater productions, cultural events language and acting classes. Actfrench.com
