Finally, New York has a night dedicated to cutting edge African culture. “Made In Africa” is the initiative of 5 Entrepreneurs of African origins residing in New York City.
DESCRIPTION
"Made in Africa" brings, a pan-African music night thrown by young urban Africans. "Made in Africa" will feature guest performers from Africa and across the spectrum of the African diaspora. Boima explains it best, "New York has seen an increase in African immigration in recent years by folks from all walks of life, generations, countries, and social backgrounds. We have come to New York via different places and for different purposes. While immigrants have always shaped the realities of New York, and Africans are truly making their impact as business owners to street hustlers, we feel that the nightlife has not been reflective of this demographic shift. Downtown is ready for a wake up call. We are here and we are going to show you how we party."
