What:
- The 2012 Trophée des Champions - the French soccer Super Cup - pits two of France's top teams against one another in the first major trophy clash of Ligue 1's domestic season.
- Organized each year by the French Soccer League, the LFP (Ligue de Football Professionnel), this year's match marks the first time the Trophee des Champions will be played in a country and city that is not predominantly French speaking.
