Eric Marty is joined in a roundtable discussion about his new book, Pourquoi le XXe siècle a-t-il pris Sade au sérieux (Seuil, 2011), by Jeffrey Mehlman (Boston University) and Bruno Chaouat (University of Minnesota).

Eric Marty is a Professor of French Literature at the Université de Paris VII-Diderot.

His publications include Bref séjour à Jerusalem and Une querelle avec Alain Badiou. He is the editor of the complete works of Roland Barthes.
