Great opportunity for students, or anyone interested in film, socially relevant topics and/or volunteering in a non-profit film festival setting. SR-Socially Relevant Film Festival New York is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to the promotion of films and socially relevant entertainment. The first edition of SR took place in March 14-20, 2014 at the Quad Cinemas in New York City with 55 films from 18 countries. Currently recruiting key volunteers and interns to start immediately. Most work is done remotely, but 1-2 regular meetings are required every week. Students and/or experienced and skilled retired persons and administrative assistants, marketing and social media specialists are most welcome. Other areas include filmmaker contacts, administrative tasks and organization. Presence during the festival in March is important.
