The French Heritage Language Program (FHLP) is an education program of FACE (French American Cultural Exchange), a non-profit organization working in partnership with the French Embassy in the United States. Its goal is to help recent immigrants of French-speaking background preserve and enrich their language and culture in the United States. We are currently offering part-time positions and looking for motivated teachers! Candidates must be allowed to work in the US and will be required to request fingerprinting at the NYC Department of Education.

We offer a competitive hourly rate of $45 to $55 per teaching hour, depending on degrees and experience.

When?
2 to 6 hours afterschool classes + occasional replacements, starting mid-September
Teach a French Heritage project-based curriculum, organize your own teaching material, be part of a young motivated team!
Occasional field trips

Where?
We work in partnership with 9 high schools of the Internationals Network for Public Schools, located in Manhattan, Brooklyn and the Bronx. http://www.internationalsnps.org/

Requirements
Degree in international education, language teaching, or French studies.
Fluent in English with native or near-native fluency in French. Experience with school groups and cultural projects. Must be comfortable using multi media and computer technologies. Experience teaching SAT II and AP French exams a plus. Organized, dynamic, and able to engage a group of students.
