Let me introduce to you my close friend Brigitte Saint-Ouen and her two adorable twins Caroline and Charlotte. Brigitte is a renowned French Art Dealer and she is also a wonderful mother who was looking for the best place for her daughters during summer to maintain their scholarship’s learning, to perform their French language and also to have fun with others children through smart and arty workshops. As she didn't find the perfect place, she created it! So, this year will be the third edition of her wonderful French Summer Camp. She designed it like a professional impresario. The kids will be led by a professional team belonging to the Education but also the Art field. The theme of this year will be "Architecture". The kids will build their own street of NY together and will learn at the same time Art basis and all of this in French (songs, art&crafts, dancing, games, cooking, painting and acting!)

 

The Bleu Blanc Rouge Summer Camp (from June 24th to August 2Nd) will take place inside the International School of New York (111 east 22nd Street) and accepts toddler from 3 to 7 years old.

But NEWS this year, there will be a class EVERY MORNING DEDICATED TO BABIES. And I am very proud that Brigitte asked me to manage it. So I will be very thrilled to welcome you and your babies in my 90-minute baby-class :) The class will consist of activities with music, gym and singing all in French. We will practice well-known French nursery rhythms trough art and songs with magic tricks as a way to practice numbers and counting and spins the animal wheel to reinforce animal names and sounds. Parents with babies (0-20 months) come together to socialize and discuss what’s going on in their parenting world. We will share our issues and try to figure it out!

You can also meet her in person during her wonderful French play dates that she organizes regularly - the next one will stand on April 21, from 3 to 5.15pm with a musician violist from Opera Bastille as special guest. He will play for our children and also for us ;)

Of course, I will be there with Lana (almost 8monts now!), Emie and Tom (my twins 4 y.o.)

My name is Sylvie

I have been giving French lessons all levels,in New York City for over 21 years. I have created my own method because I couldn't find anything that was interesting enough for Adults to want to stay with it.

My method can be a bit academic at times but in the long run, you will have built a solid base. Through conversation and written exercises your speaking/writing skills will improve tremendously. I also use translation to help you get out of your comfortable (present/passe compose) zone.

I promise that although serious classes, you will have fun. If you don't have fun doing something you won't learn it right ?

PS I live on 14th Street, in the West Village/Chelsea Area. My apartment is very conducive to learning , it is quiet and has a beautiful open view of the city.
