Thanks for the Theatre du Soleil posting. Unfortunately I will not be there on the discussion day on the 9th as I am still in Paris and come back to NY on the 15th. So I hope to catch Les Ephemeres either the 16th or the 17th!
Too bad, as I know Ariane Mnouchkine and most of the company members having done workshops with them.
We could do a discussion of our own on the Theatre du Soleil on one of our sessions. I have been closely connected with them since they came to LA in 1984 and since then over many many years in Paris. Love the work.

Je pense proposer Ubu Roi d'Alfred Jarry mais il faut que je me procure le livre (je ne suis sure qu'il soit facile de se procurer des pieces de theatre en francais a New York). Pour le premier rendez-vous, je pourrai en juillet a partir du 19.

Nous allons lire des textes et les 'jouer' eventuellement pour un public. Apart cela je prepare un stage (cours de theatre en anglais pour les francophones) pour debut octobre. Je vais eventuellement en faire l'inverse: Cours de theatre en francais pour qui le veut. Sinon, je ne connais pas des groupes amateurs malheureusement. Restons en contact.
