 We hope that you're enjoying the last few weeks of summer.
 Soon we'll be posting more detailed information on the new season of L'Avant-Scene, which begins with the exciting return of Seuls en Scene, Princeton French Theater Festival, September 21-29, in partnership with the Lewis Center for the Arts. In the meantime, we'd like to announce the dates of the festival so that you can plan ahead.
 This year's festival features an exceptional line-up including a classic play by Marivaux, as well as celebrated French directors and actors along with up-and-coming artists.
 We're delighted to bring you this new edition and we look forward to seeing soon.

Au nom de l'école de théâtre "Into This City International Acting School,"  je suis heureuse d'annoncer notre premier ATELIER DE MARIONNETTES! Cet atelier aura lieu CE VENDREDI le 27 août, à Pearl Studios, à NYC (500 8th Avenue).  Ce sera enseigné en français.

En partenariat avec New York City College, l'association Lumieres travaille sur la mise en scene d'un spectacle en francais a l'occasion des celebrations de la Francophonie a New York l'an prochain.

Nous recherchons des acteurs - experiementes ou non - mais motives et creatifs ayant envie de s'amuser sur scene autour d'improvisations et d'experimentations.

Nous avons egalement besoin de personnes qui pourraient apporter leur aide sur de la video, lumiere, son, administration et fundraising.

Manisha, I wish I had received this information earlier. Now, unfortunately I will not be available for this session. Please keep me posted regarding the next session. Although I'm not an absolute beginner in French, I would be interested in the beginner course. I hope to get to see the plays! :)

It will be an incredible summer focused on playwrights from the Caribbean - with a class showcase on August 12th.

Petite question:
Y-a t-il une scène new-yorkaise qui accueille les pièces de théâtre française indépendante?
J'ai écrit et mis en scène une pièce de théâtre "Rencontres" que nous avions jouée pendant un an à Paris. Je me demandais si je pouvais la remonter ici à New York. Ou peut-être la faire faire traduire?

La Comédie Française New York will be offering acting in French classes for performing arts professionals and theatre lovers starting on January 11th. Visit to fine out more information about course registration. An ongoing scene study class is also being offered for native speakers and bilingual actors. -Manisha

Merci beaucoup pour toutes ces ficelles. Tres tres utiles pour nous tous, francophones pratiquants et amateurs de theatre (en francais).
Helas il me semble que nous allons remettre encore un petit peu notre premiere rencontre 'lecture theatrale' car je pars en France dans 10 jours et a mon retour, debut novembre, je tourne dans un film...
Peut etre nous pouvons nous retrouver vers mi-novembre?
Mais je vois que notre petit groupe de theatre est deja en pleine epanouissement virtuel. C'est super!!!
