Thank you for this site - what a great idea!

I'm a native NYer and I've been teaching French for nine years already! I am also a volunteer coordinator for OSEF (Organisme Séjours Educatifs Français).

I went to France for the first time when I was in 11th grade and it changed my life. I've been in love with all things French ever since. I vowed that when I became a teacher I would give my students the same opportunity.

Middle Country School District has abruptly decided to eliminate its French Program.   We found out about these cuts by reading Sunday’s Newsday (2/6/11).

Je travaille depuis peu sous l’autorité de Fabrice Jaumont au service éducatif de l’ambassade de France à New York.

Nous organisons pour cette rentrée scolaire un concours sur le thème de la Tour Eiffel qui fêtera cette année ses 120 ans! Ainsi, nous souhaitons que des élèves se mettre a l’œuvre pour offrir de beaux cadeaux a cette ‘ Dame de Fer’ qui n’hésitera pas a les récompenser.

Je pense que c'est une bonne idee d'inviter d'autres familles egalement..Je ne suis pas tres patiente pour design, etc...du web mais des la rentree en Septembre je serai prete a organiser un calendrier de rencontres, ou autres.....dans le Long Island...Merci et a bientot !

Bonjour Laura,

Oui, c'est cool! Dimanche dernier,nous avons eu une réunion d'orientation pour les élèves de Calgary et des environs qui partiront en France à la fin de juin pendant un mois. Tout le monde y était et on a reçu des commentaires très positifs au sujet de la réunion. Les élèves ont très hâte de partir. On leur a donné plein de conseils pour les aider à avoir un échange agréable et productif.
