Bringing 3 French teen nieces to NYC in August for 20 days. What events would be a must see?

Would like suggestions (beyond the usual obvious) that would be of interest to 3 teen girls (13,16,17) from Narbonne. I would like to go thru Steinway but no August tours. Is there any other mfg. to see? Or any good rock concerts? Car shows? Truck pull-off? Interesting restaurant? A dance spot for teens? something they would never see in France? Remerciez-vous, en avance, pour toutes vos idées et suggestions. Keith
