From the original description of this "Ning" (as Fabrice is so fond of calling it), I understood that this was a place where Francophones and Francophiles based in New York or interested in New York could gather online.

Pour tout savoir sur New York par un journaliste passionné

On décide d’y aller un jour. Sans raison apparente, sans but réel, sans atome crochu particulier pour ce lieu. Et puis on part. Une fois là bas, on visite, on flâne, on respire ce lieu. Et il faut bien revenir. Mais dès le retour, un manque se fait ressentir. Un manque qui va s’accentuer jour après jour. Jusqu’à devenir une obsession : il faut qu’on y retourne…. Absolument !
