Un roseau est un pipeau

que tu entends

quand le vent

chante auprès

d’un chœur de fleurs.

Doux sifflements

appellent les pluies

du printemps.

This unique app, written by Orel Protopopescu,  is based on playful, rhymed metaphors.  The French narrator is Elodie Fondacci of Radio Classique. Toddlers and adults alike enjoy playing with the pictures, composing tunes on the flowering shoots of April to make the ducklings sing, opening and closing the flowers of May, putting wind in the sail of June's boat, etc.  Press the button on the welcome page for English or French.  Use the touch-activated glossaries in both languages.  Orel has presented the app to students ages 4-college.  It's a great resource for any teacher of poetry, ESL, English or French, thanks to its glorious illustrations and simple, yet sophisticated text.  Contact Orel if you would like her to come to your school:  www.orelprotopopescu.com
