Myriam Phiro revives Edith Piaf tribute show with a fresh take
Since 2015, the year that marked Piaf's centennial, Myriam Phiro has been guiding audiences through the decadent world of Edith Piaf using her timeless songs to retell the life of the icon who is her greatest inspiration in becoming a performer herself. Accompanied by her all-star trio, the chanteuse will offer a solo-rendition of her 'Piaf at 100' cabaret show, re-imagining the brothels, circuses and nightclubs that created the great Piaf we all know. The performance will be held at the new Birdland theater, a cultural treasure full of a rich tradition in the heart of NYC.

'I'm so very honored to make my Birdland debut while paying tribute to a Lady who's inspired me (and countless others) so much in becoming a performer! To quote one of her lesser-known songs ''Amour du mois de Mai'', I'd say this is exactly what describes the intention of this show: ''l’amour le plus beau est comme un doux refrain/the most beautiful love is like a sweet refrain''. Springtime in NYC brings us this lightness of heart that in turn compels me to sing about love and passion, the way the Great Piaf did. I'm excited to share this great legacy with you all, rendering her songs both in French and English. Let's all toast to l'Amour together!
