Fabrice Jaumont, the education attache at the French Embassy, will come to PS58 on Tuesday Feb. 26 from 6:30-8 pm to speak about the relationship between France and the Dual Language Programs in New York. Several principals have been recognized and given a medal by the French government for their work in creating these programs, but how much does France really know about the DLP programs here (there will be 7 in the fall of 2013)? What kind of support do they give? What could we do to get more help? What are the challenges of merging two culture's education priorities and curricula? With two DLP middle schools slated to open in the fall of 2013, what are the next steps even beyond that?  And please feel free to bring any of your own questions.
