3438635883?profile=originalPS 58 The Carroll School was the first school to open a French dual language program in New York City in 2007.  With the wonderful commitment of our students, their families, the New York City Department of Education and the Cultural Services of the French Embassy, the program has grown year after year.  We now host the largest French dual language program with over 250 students grades K through 4 (maternelle au CM1).  In 2012-13, we will open two more classes at the fifth grade level, and we are already talking to middle schools about expanding through 8th grade.

Located in quaint Carroll Gardens, PS 58 is known for its multicultural student body and commitment to the arts and sciences.  We have a beautiful art studio, a newly redesigned library, a brand new science lab and a colorful playground.  PS 58 has a rich teaching community hailing from many parts of the United States and the world.  Together, teachers and parents set high expectations for students in all disciplines.

PS 58 is committed to a 50-50 dual language model.  50% of our students speak French at home, and 50% of the instruction in the French dual language program is in French.
