The summer is a time to relax and indulge the senses in the warming sun, sip a cool drink, and get moving with some fantastic Haitian music. This program is sure to offer up some hot sounds and a great time.

The second concert of the series will feature performances by Haitian guitar legend Tit Pascal and soulful young musician Talie Cerin.

Tit Pascal is a renowned guitarist and longtime arranger, composer, writer, and producer who has worked with many of Haiti’s leading figures in jazz music. Since beginning his musical career in Haiti as a teen, he has led his own groups: Les 6 As de Petion-Ville, the first Ibo Combo ensemble (Ibo Lele), and his first Jazz Quartet.

Talie Cerin is a singer-songwriter born and raised in Haiti. Her music addresses social issues, life experiences, and the love she carries for her beloved homeland. Her unique Kreyòl Soul style, is an acoutstic musical blend with neo-soul and Haitian folk influences.
