A frenchman's god-given right

To Liberte, Egalite, et Fraternite.

So hear the trumpets beckon

To France's noble soldier

Who knows, as he treads below the Tricolour

That his inalienable right

Will hold true throughout his life

He is at one with

Liberte, Egalite, et Fraternite

For all are equal in the motto, and way of life of
