Dual language programs are becoming increasingly popular in New York City. More and more parents are now interested in a bilingual education for their children. In order to help them discover all the benefits of such an education, the web magazine French Morning is hosting the fourth Bilingual Education Fair in New York. The event will be held on November 4th, 2017 at Fordham University, from 10am to 4pm.

This event allows parents and teacher to fully understand what a bilingual education can bring to their children. They will have the opportunity to meet all actors of the bilingual education community. More than 100 exhibitors will be here, presenting their offer to families. From schools and after schools to camps and publishers, parents and teachers will be able to see every option they have for they families. They will also have the chance to assess the situation and discuss the future of this type of curriculum.

All throughout the day, panels and presentations will be organized, although the complete schedule has not been released yet. In the Fair’s previous edition, the conferences included — among other things — a talk with l’Ecole des Loisirs about reading in French, a presentation of the revolution led in NYC public schools by dual language programs, a conference about the effects of bilingualism on the brain, or a conversation on how to become a teacher in such a program.

Parents are welcome to bring their children to the Bilingual Education Fair in order to let them discover for themselves what could one day become their future. Free childcare with activities for the kids will be provided in Spanish and German. They can also participate in animated reading, arts and crafts and multiple shows.

Parents, teachers and family interested in the fair will need to register the Bilingual Fair’s website : http://bilingualfair.org/
