Rated SR aims to promote positive social change through the powerful medium of cinema. 
 
Amy Goodman, of Democracy Now!, an independent news program aired on over 1,000 radio and TV networks in North America and viewed in dozens of countries via the Internet, will deliver the keynote address and bestow the Rated SR Social Justice Award for raising issues outside the mainstream media on Tuesday, March 18th.

Over 50 narrative and documentary films will screen, including ten feature films which will compete for the Grand Prize, eight documentaries will compete for the documentary prize.View film listings

Other prizes include: WFCC (Women Film Critics Circle Award) presented by Prairie Miller of WBAI Pacifica Radio's Art Express, Scriptwriting award by Final Draft (for best script), and theVanya Exerjian award for Empowering Women and Girls, as a special trophy designed and donated by Michael Ara, will be presented by her Excellency Ambassador Simona Miculescu, Permanent Representative of Romania to the UN.

The opening night event and film, Mamarosh, a Serbian, Hungarian German co-production directed by Momcilo Mrdakovic (Director will be present) is followed by a celebration (invitation only) hosted by Rated SR and The Fourth.
