Salut Francophones et Francophiles,

Registration is now open for our September Acting in French classes.

http://actfrench.com/

ABSOLUTE BEGINNERS, NATIVE SPEAKERS, ACTORS AND NON-ACTORS WARMLY WELCOME!

We offer three levels.

*Francais I : for absolute beginners (no previous French study required)
a combination of pronunciation, grammar, fun theatre improvs and contemporary French scene study

*Francais II: for intermediates
advanced grammar, French improv and contemporary French scene study

*Atelier Francophone: our pure acting in French class for native speakers and students fluent in French. This is a scene study class where we also work on creating a show - all in French. (no previous acting experience required)

BONUS CLASS (FREE!) : Each week we visit a restaurant and attend an event featuring the cuisine and culture of a different country. We only visit Francophone-owned and operated restaurants and all our conversation is in French. For example, on our Cote D'ivoire trip, we saw Bintou by Koffe Kwahule at Harlem Center for the Arts and dined at Treichville - a Cote D'Ivoire restaurant in Harlem. On Haiti night, we went to Krik Krak with some of my Haitian friends and attended the "Ansanm" concert at Lincoln Center Out of Doors. One of our favorite adventures was "Martinique night," featuring a trip to Arcane in the East village followed by a French Film at Tompkins Square Park.

Each semester, we focus on a different Francophone region. The focus this coming semester is Canadian-French writers .

Please do not hesitate to contact us with any questions or to be added to our cultural excursions mailing list!
