Into This City International Acting School (actfrench.com) offers French language, Wine and Cheese workshops for travelers taught by NYC actors as part of our "Act French" program that integrates theater games to teach the French language.

We are seeking a few bilingual actors (or teachers who love acting) to co-teach these 3-hour language and culture workshops. The ideal candidate will be passionate about all things French, love teaching, meeting new people and sharing cultural tips. The teacher will be patient, focused, have a great sense of humor, a strong work ethic, and enjoy collaborating, It is also important that the teacher be open and eager to hear constructive feedback on their performance. The workshops are three hours so it's important that you have a lot of energy and no trouble staying on your feet for that amount of time. You do not have to be an actor or theater artist to apply, but we prefer that you at least have some interest in acting of theater. Most of our teachers also take class with our company.

The teaching artists must be able to speak French and English fluently. Work visa or American citizenship required. Teaching experience preferred. Since most of the teachers are actors, we are willing to schedule around auditions and performances with adequate advanced notice.

Hours: 5:30-9:30pm (Usually workshops are held on Friday evenings, Thursdays or Saturdays)

Location: Pearl Studios, next to Penn Station

Compensation: $100/workshop + acting classes in French or English at "Into This City" acting school

To apply: Please e-mail actfrench@gmail.com with a cover letter that explains your interest in working with our school, your resumé and the contact information for 2 references.

*Please note that only candidates who have taken the time to look at our web-site and thoroughly read the requirements of the job description will be taken seriously.
