SR Socially Relevant Film Festival New York opened Monday at CUNY Graduate Center in New York to over 300 festival goers and Cuny Graduate students with Huseyin Karabey's second feature, Come to my Voice about a Kurdish Village in Turkey. The festival kicked off two days of documentaries at the Maysles Cinema in Harlem, Tuesday and Wednesday, culminating on Wednesday in packed houses with interesting Q&A sessions with an avid audience in the presence of the filmmakers and Egyptian Embassy and Consulate General NY representation.

The festival moves to Tribeca Cinemas Thursday through Saturday, with the following line-up for Thursday. www.ratedsrfilms.org
